§ Prologue §

(Do note – this is the very beginning of the universe. There never was, nor will there ever be Goku or anything related to Dragonball Z’s lore at all. We are the very beginning, there was “nothing” before us, nothing at all)

It all began as a thought in the spring winds within the white marble walls of Heaven. A man clad in brown, red, and green silk began to stroll down a stone path through the villages created by the God’s above, for those whom chose to reside in a habitable bliss for all eternity. Many bowed their heads as the man walked by, a very subtle gesture, which portrayed not only respect but equality as well. For in the realm of light; as it was known for some time, all whom were pure of heart and mind were welcome by the God’s with open arms. This man however commanded a deeper level of respect due not only to his age, but the power he held close as well. The children who knew of this man by way of stories alone had it under the assumption that his infinite power had been in the form of strength, or maybe in spirit, but they could not be more wrong. Many of the other God’s and Angel’s alike were far superior to him in many ways except one; his power drew from one key factor, his age. With his age came a vast pool of intelligence, as well as experience in the ways of life itself. Coming to the end of his stroll he stood by the golden gates of Heaven, glancing over its serine beauty one last time, before heading to a Limbo-like realm known as The Checkpoint in order to converse with those who were close to him in age and wisdom. For you see, he had a radical thought which coursed through his mind for several centuries; one that would not only bring peace and harmony to all three realms of the afterlife, but it would also grant the future a chance to become unique. He made a suggestion to four of his eldest companions; asking them to trust his lead as he guided them to the bowels of Hell, holding their hands as he did so. With great hesitation, one by one the God’s bowed their heads and simply followed the man; this was power and trust that you could not buy or trade for, this was the power a true genuine, honest, and pure construct held within their soul.

Their lightly colored boots stained gray with ash and soot as they traversed down the dark and hot staircase to Hell. Normally they would never venture down there; even in a group such as this, due to the extreme strain it would put on the balance of both Good and Evil, Light and Dark. If they tilted the balance too far one way then all would be chaos; time, space, gravity, nothing would function properly should the balance tilt one way or the other too much, hence their worries. However it was a necessary journey, as they required not only their own minds and souls, but that of those who were ancient rulers of the Darkness as well. With balance comes the transference of power; the more fragile yet intelligent God’s or Kaio as they were called – ruled the Heaven’s above together, though down below through the pristine white and yellow clouds there would be only two whom shared the throne on the side of Darkness. Those whom accepted hate, malice, rage, fury all into their hearts had become far stronger than the Kaio in many ways physically and spiritually, however their strength came at a price, insanity. Insanity and a lust for blood kept the population far lower, thus giving them the edge in strength, but losing the ground when it came to unity and cooperation – a trade off that held the balance for decades. This balance would be tested heavily today, as he who ruled both Heaven and Hell intended to bring about such a vast change that not even the Demons below could resist the offer.

They stood together; five Kaio and two Demons, waiting on the free-flowing waters within the Checkpoint all while the very first Kaio made his preparations. He drew various symbols in the ground below them, and in the air above them as well using his spiritual essence as ink so to speak. His plan had been simple, he wanted to not only create but to populate a fourth realm which would exist far away from their own. So far away that no one could interfere with it, no Heavenly rules, no Demonic codes, a logical and self-driven Universe which would live, evolve, thrive, and die all on its own in its own way. Due to the massive amount of spiritual energy required to create not only the physical structure of the universe but the spiritual aspect as well – he required the aid and the lives of not only the Cardinal Kaio, himself, and the Demonic Overlords, but the small amount of Angels and Lesser Demons as well. This was a heavy toll and a very costly one, however it wasn’t something that they took lightly; they would sacrifice the existence of thousands in order to give birth to several billions, numbers that far exceeded their wildest imaginations. This is where the Leaders of the realms came into play; for as the spirits and minds of the others would help generate the fourth realm – the Universe – the Leaders minds and spirits would populate it with life. Each would pass their energies into the now four dimensional White Hole that had been created via symbol, thus transferring it into a small tear where the new realm would begin.

Their lives ended with a massive surge of light and energy; a swirling array of blues, whites, reds and black that would form various new colors, all as they surged through the White Hole and into what would be forever known as a Black Hole. As the energy poured through, it rapidly expanded; so much so that it erupted wildly as a cataclysmic explosion that would launch billions upon billions of stars all across the newly created universe. A portion of the energy however would create sustainable planets, which would not be exclusive to the Milky Way Galaxy – which has been formed as well during this time. Galaxies all around the universe would fill with planets, stars, moons, asteroids, everything necessary for the next stage – life. Life rapidly jump started thanks to the minds of the Leaders; various species on various planets all came to life, though this story focus’s directly on those in the Milky Way Galaxy…

Over one billion years would pass before that galaxy in particular came to life; not just animal and plant life – which had been thriving from the beginning – but sentient life. As the last to truly populate, the sentient beings of this galaxy would have very little say in the way the universe operated, however they would be protected and given a chance to survive and thrive just as the others. Seven planets; each with their own solar system and ecosystems, were chosen out of the billions that existed – to harbor new life. Majority of the planets were encased by nature, giving the residents a great start to their new lives. However many things occurred which seemed un-natural; as no sentient life had existed before these ones, though some man-made structures did exist on some key locations. Perhaps it was a sign that back-water pirates from another galaxy came and left very insignificant remnants behind, or a sign that the Great Design was flawed in some way or another, or even still it could be a sign that someone had purposefully planned out specific details that would grant an advantage to one species over another. Whatever the case may be, these planets would become the only in this galaxy to harbor true sentient life. The people had their own freedoms and choices to make, how to evolve and to adapt, how to live and survive; it was a perfect and unique opportunity, granted to them by those who gave up everything. They may not be perfect beings; some may be violent and brutish warriors, some might be abandoned and lonely – thus leading to rage and psychotic tendencies, some might be so intelligent that they bring a golden age of technology to their planet, and some still might be so shamanistic that they could control nature itself with their peaceful hearts…

With freedom and a brand new beginning, the choices were left up to themselves and themselves alone… As for the realms of the Afterlife – they too would be repopulated, hearing of this story and the tales of the former Gods and Demons. They too would be given a choice, given freedom, though of course their duty and lives too would be bound to them… With no sign of end in sight, this was a chance for pure, raw, unrestricted development on a universal scale – and it was time to see just how far these sentient beings within the Milky Way Galaxy would go – and what kind of marks on history they would make.
